Community and Stakeholder Engagement - Central Otago Airport

McElrea Consulting is working with Christchurch International Airport Limited to assist with the community and stakeholder engagement arm of this project.  As community engagement requires objectivity to be effective, we believe that our job is to ensure that all voices are respected and represented.  This feedback allows the airport group to make decisions that can inform future planning and development. Our role is also to provide available information to the community as and when requested.

Southern Way - Touring Route - Otago and Southland Regional Tourism Organisations

In 2019, all Regional Tourism Organisations (RTOs) within Otago and Southland partnered to explore and develop the 45 SOUTH NZ touring route concept - Southern Way, with the idea being to develop a lower South Island tourism proposition, not hindered by RTO or regional boundaries.  The aim is to grow visitor awareness and knowledge of this area and how to explore it, to extend the length of stay, and increase visitor spend.  McElrea Consulting led the process of developing a name, brand, website, and marketing plan for the touring route.
